From studying languages to a Scotch Whisky ambassador in Mexico.
I studied French and Spanish at Nottingham University and had the opportunity to live abroad in my third year. I worked in schools, bars and restaurants and developed a passion for living and working abroad. After graduating I worked for 6 months in PR for Comté Cheese, however as son as I saw the position for the Chivas Brothers Ambassador programme, I knew it was the dream job for me.
I have now been living in Mexico for nearly 18 months and working for Chivas Regal as a graduate Brand ambassador. The role is diverse and allows me the opportunity to use my languages, learn about marketing, on trade, sales, and PR.

Current Position

Chivas Regal Brand Ambassador
I work in Mexico and am now in my second year of a two year graduate Brand ambassador role for Chivas Regal. The role is very diverse, as well as holding tastings and trainings for the On trade and off trade in restaurants bars and shops, I also hold luxury tastings for clients and private sessions with Media. I am also currently currently organising the local final for the Chivas Masters, a global cocktail competition.

Main Motivations

I love the diversity of the role
There is no such thing as a typical day with the role and as such it has built up my experience in so many aspects of the drinks industry, From learning about the on and off trade, to organising events, liasing with agencies and being interviewed by Media for special occasions such as World Whisky Day.

Top Advice

Be enthusiastic, proactive and motivated and don´t give up!!
In applying for this role, it is important to show your personality, be creative, proactive and flexible. These are all really important elements of a brand ambassador.

Greatest Achievement

I organised the local final of Chivas Masters Mexico
The Chivas Masters is a global cocktail competition. During my first year in Mexico it was up to me to organise the local final. The final was composed of various stages. A launch event, the stage of recruitment, the local final and then the global final in Tokyo. It was up to me to liase with agencies, organise a recruitment video as well as onvocatorias around Mexico (inviting bartenders from different States to take part) and the local final. It was a huge challenge but incredibly reqarding to see everything come together and it taught me so much. This year I will be organising the competition again and hope to build on what I learnt from last year creating an even better experience and final event.
